SeaCoast Church ("SeaCoast," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website, you agree to the practices described below.
Information We Collect
Information you give us directly. When you fill out a form on our site - such as our Connect Card or Life Groups registration - we may collect:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your general location (e.g., city, state, country)
- Any questions, comments, or personal details you choose to share
- Prayer requests you submit
Donation information. When you give online through our Give page, your payment is processed by our third-party giving provider, Subsplash. We do not collect or store your full credit card or bank account numbers on our own servers. Our provider collects and processes that information under its own privacy policy: https://www.subsplash.com/legal/privacy.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and the services it relies on may automatically collect certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you visit, and the dates and times of your visits. This may be collected through cookies or similar technologies used by our website host, Subsplash, and by the third-party services described below - including Google Analytics, which helps us understand how visitors use our site, and Google Ads, which helps us measure the effectiveness of our advertising and may be used to show our content to people who have previously visited our website.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your messages, questions, and connection requests
- Pray for and follow up on prayer requests you submit
- Process and acknowledge your donations
- Send you information about church events, services, and ministries if you have asked to receive it
- Maintain, improve, and secure our website
- Comply with legal obligations
Prayer Requests
Prayer requests submitted through our website are received by our pastoral and ministry staff and may be shared with prayer team members for the purpose of praying for the need you've shared. Please only include information you are comfortable sharing for this purpose. If you would like a prayer request kept strictly confidential, please tell us in your message or contact us directly.
Third-Party Services
Our website uses and links to services operated by other companies. These third parties may collect information about you under their own privacy policies, which we do not control:
- YouTube / Google - We embed YouTube videos and our live stream. Google may set cookies and collect viewing data when these are loaded or played. See Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google Analytics - We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website (for example, which pages are most visited). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your IP address and browsing activity on our site. Learn more at https://policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out using Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Google Ads - We use Google Ads to measure the results of our advertising (for example, whether a visit followed an ad) and, in some cases, to show our content to people who have previously visited our site ("remarketing"). This uses advertising cookies and identifiers. You can manage how Google personalizes ads to you at https://myadcenter.google.com.
- Subsplash - processes online donations and hosts our website.
- Social media - We link to our pages on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Interacting with those links takes you to platforms governed by their own privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites and services. We encourage you to review their policies.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites function and remember preferences. Our site and the third-party services above may use several kinds of cookies, including:
- Essential cookies that help the site work properly.
- Analytics cookies (such as those from Google Analytics) that help us understand how the site is used.
- Advertising cookies (such as those from Google Ads) that help us measure our advertising and, in some cases, show our content to people who have visited our site.
Blocking or deleting cookies through your browser settings will stop our analytics and advertising tools from working and may affect features such as embedded video playback or form submission, but you will still be able to browse the site. You can also use the Google opt-out tools linked in the section above to limit Google's use of your information.
Children's Privacy
We care about the safety of children in our community. Our website is intended for a general audience and is not directed at collecting personal information from children under 13 online. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website without a parent or guardian's involvement. If you believe a child has provided us information through the website, please contact us and we will delete it. [Note: information collected in person for children's ministry programs - such as registration forms - is handled separately by our staff.]
